Wow, what a great week!  miraclefeet has been at the Mexican Society of Pediatric Orthopaedics this week as part of the launch for the National Mexican Clubfoot Program.

The program consists of 7 comprehensive clubfoot clinics that practice Ponseti.  The clinics have been launched as Regional Hubs - 7 clinics in 7 different states, strategically chosen based on excellence in the Ponseti Method and geographic location.  These 7 clinics are the initial launch and as the program grows, more clinics will be established.  The clinics are chosen to create a system of clinics that will diminish travel time required for families, thus increasing patient retention.

The program is a collaboration between miraclefeet, the Mexican Society of Pediatric Orthopaedics, Ponseti International Association, and the Mexican Clubfoot Foundation.

The coordinators of the Regional Hubs are experienced and enthusiastic Ponseti practitioners and are passionate about helping reach under served populations.  They are excited to start using the new National Program materials to educate and reach more patients.

Great news!  We’ve been chosen as one of thirteen finalists in the first Boehringer Ingelheim Making More Health competition. The online competition is part of a three-year global initiative to identify and support the most promising solutions to challenging health problems around the world.  The winner will receive $10,000 to use in their project - that’s 40 children that can be treated with the Ponseti Method and in turn get a lifetime of walking!

We were selected from more than 470 entries received as an idea that represents the most innovative and promising solutions from around the globe that are transforming the field of health.

The goal of the competition is to identify and support innovations with the potential to shape the future of the health sector for the benefit of individuals, families, and communities.
